“You are not Alone” – Japan Earthquake Tragedy
First of, I’d like to express my sincerest condolences to the ones who have lost loved ones during the Earthquake which happened last Friday, March 11, 2011.
These types of calamities are one of those things that changes your life in an instant. Yesterday you were partying, today you’re now homeless and probably you’ve lost someone as well. It makes you think about the way you live.
A lot will be sleeping under the cold hard fact that they just lost almost everything, and the worst part is they can’t blame anyone, not even themselves because these types of calamities are the ones that strike out of nowhere.
Aside from the property damage and the loss of lives wrought upon by the earthquake and the tsunami that followed, Japan is now suffering several problems regarding their nuclear reactors which is reported to have released radioactive materials into the atmosphere.
If you want to help, please click the following links which may allow you to help the Sendai Victims in your own little way.
Corporations like toy company Good Smile Company, Honda, Toyota Nissan and Nissin have already went through CSR programs to help their fellow countrymen.
I also think its high time that we, foreigners who love Japanese culture, be part of their lives as their culture has become part of ours. So please help out if you can.
Lastly, to any Japanese who is reading this blog entry, or to whoever who may have lost a loved one, or everything he owns, or to those who feel for those who have suffered from tragedy, I’d like to leave this word to you:
“You are not alone”
Every little bit counts.
I’ve been doing what I can in small ways here and there, I really wish I could actually go there and help out physically though, I’m sure they could use the help. It’s good to see so many people from so many places coming together to help fellow humans 🙂
It really is a tragedy what has happened, I really hope they can recover from this.
